LED Christmas Lights
This video was originally going to be just a routine video showing this year’s Christmas lights I had put up, but somehow it turned into a pro-LED propaganda video. Not that there’s anything wrong with that! LED’s are amazing little bits of plastic and semiconductor, and now they’re making our holidays even brighter and more colorful. Be it an amateur display (Like ours) or a professional holiday light show, LEDs are definitely worth looking into. Admittedly, if you’re not really into LED technology, then you might find this video boring.

led. I have them on my tree inside the house, and outside as well. beautiful, BUT there is a problem. The lights, especially the blue lights, give off pink and purple hues – not traditional christmas colors. The light is COLD as well. My outside tree is beautiful, but I had to mix some traditional lights with my led lights on the tree inside to give some warmth. experiment, but be prepared for a psychological effect…a christmas tree from another planet!!

Love the deep rich blue LED lights. (Almost as though they are also emitting UV or close to UV light.) Not noticeable on video.
When a little boy, looking at blue painted incandescent C-5 and C-7 bulbs, I saw red surrounded by blue – due to the way the longer wavelegth red light focused on the retina and shorter wavelength blue light landed on the retina.
I’m a big fan of LED’s as well. So much easier to put up. It eliminates pretty much all the electrical computations that I had to do with my install business.
