Sweet Sixteen Decorations…?

Author: Another way to use led Christmas lights is for a Sweet Sixteen Party. This teen made balloon arches in blue and white with blue and white led lights strung through them in her church basement, finding ways to disguise the church furniture. Then she used strands of baloons in strategic locations throughout the hall. What a cute way to use the led’s in all seasons of the year and for all kinds of reasons.

Classic New York Christmas Light Displays.
Thinking of Christmas yet?? I know it is only July. Here is something to get you in the mood.
Some really classic Christmas decorations can be found in New York City on 5th Avenue and the Rockefeller Christmas Tree. The classic look has very bright led looking lights, as well as Snowflake lights. The lights are classic and stunning looking. Other cities have their own beautiful displays. Even smaller towns often wrap their trees in lights that sparkle during the Christmas season. We can all take some inspiration from these beautiful street displays.
One of the nicest things is that even with the brilliant light displays, they can be made from energy efficient led lights. And more and more cities are mandating CFLs and LEDs in their lighting. So you don’t need to be an energy hog to have a beatuiful display.

have any of you begun to hang up your Christmas decorations yet?
i’m just doing my patio for now. i live right in the heart of the downtown area. the Christmas parade is on Sunday, November 22, 2009. the parade will go right by my apartment. i want to have my patio looking Christmasy for the parade and the people who may walk by during the parade.
this year, i’m putting up white and red LED christmas lights. with red ribbons around the white posts to make them look like candy cane colors.

Where can I get warm glow/ golden color LED Christmas lights?
I bought LED chirstmas lights o be more green this year but I don’t really like them. They remind me of the harsh bright head lights on some of the cars now. It has a blue hue to them instead of the warm golden glow of the older style. All of my other decorations have the warm color so the tree looks like it is possessed next to all of them. Is there a warm white LED or are they all the blue white?

Are Bugs Attracted By LED Lighting?
Are bugs attracted by LED lighting? There is some evidence to indicate that bugs are attracted to the ultraviolet end of the spectrum, which would include the blues and purples. Therefore, lights that were more yellow in color are less likely to attract insects. However, on the other hand, some insects become attracted to those colors as well. Why not try some different color ranges of led lights to see which ones work best on your patio this summer. You can have light and enjoy your summer evenings too.
